- Acne: There are different ways to treat acne. Here at Twin Falls Dermatology & Aesthetics, I take a patient centered approach, providing the patient with all options, so that you may make an informed decision.
- Eczema: This is golden age for Eczema and atopic dermatitits, as there are new treatments that reduce or eliminate the symptoms of itch and pain associated with this condition.
- Psoriasis: Psoriasis is a debilitating condition, with a broad range of symptoms, including dry/itchy patches, to joint degradation. It can be so miserable for people to live with. Fortunately, there are really good medications available to treat psoriasis. These medications change lives; allowing skin clearance and freedom from joint pain.
- Skin cancer: There are various skin cancers that range from life threatening to locally disfiguring. Early detection and treatment are key, so having yearly skin exams is important, especially if you are at high risk for skin cancer. Skin cancers are proven by biopsy, and here at Twin Falls Dermatology & Aesthetics, I am able to detect various skin cancers and perform biopsies as needed. I can also remove the proven skin cancers, up to 2cm (size of a nickel). Larger lesions will be referred to Dr. Reed with St. Luke’s Dermatology.
- Moles: Moles, or Nevi, range from benign (not a threat) to severely abnormal or Atypical (possibly a threat), with a wide area in-between. Here at Twin Falls Dermatology & Aesthetics, you will have each mole evaluated with a Dermatoscope, to detect abnormalities. Mole biopsy and removal can be discussed, with various options and prices provided for removal.
- Warts: Let’s be honest…warts are tough! They like where they live, and they’re difficult to get rid of. Laurel will discuss all available options for treating warts, both in office and at home.
- Actinic Keratoses (precancers): Liquid nitrogen and topical creams are the main modalities Laurel uses for actinic keratoses.
- Other skin conditions and spots: There are over 3000 dermatology diagnoses! Many are common, some are rare, and Laurel is proficient in most dermatologic conditions. In some cases, a biopsy will be performed to help guide diagnosis and treatment. Some conditions will require more specialized care, and will be consulted or referred to Dr. Reed at St. Luke’s.
